DESCRIPTIVE GEOMETRY IN CIVIL ENGINEERING A BETTER UNDERSTANDING THROUGH PRACTICAL EXAMPLES

The field of engineering involves a pragmatic approach to the various requirements and needs that may arise in certain branches of activity. Scientific knowledge is harmonized with practical experiences, helping to solve technical issues. In this context, civil engineering involves the design and execution of various types of structures that facilitate the performance of our daily activities. In addition to the abilities of engineers to provide technical solutions, another essential attribute of theirs is to have a good spatial control, which can be developed throughout descriptive geometry. Therefore, this article aims to present some useful links between descriptive geometry and civil engineering, which can help the civil engineering students in better understanding its purpose.
