Abstract

The paper aims to identify the role of the Descriptive Geometry discipline and the education of visual perception in the training of engineers' skills in the context of the new technological trends of the 21st century. Spatial skills play a key role in the development of human creativity, which Industry 5.0 focus on. Thus, the students' individual study was completed with a new topic to increase their abilities in shape recognition. The final evaluation showed a positive influence of this method, with better results recorded by female students compared to male students.
