APPLYING EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING THEORY IN TEACHING DESCRIPTIVE GEOMETRY

The paper presents aspects connected with the application of the principles of the experiential learning theory in engineering education, in teaching descriptive geometry. The experiential learning theory presents the process of learning as being a cyclical one, involving four stages - experience, reflection, abstract conceptualization and experimentation, each stage being related to a certain learning style. The paper will outline aspects on ways that would help students develope appropriate learning styles, gain experience continuously and transform it into knowledge. The applications presented in the paper are applying the experiential learning theory in teaching descriptive geometry.
